Last date for filing GST returns extended to
						August 14
The due date for filing the goods and services tax (GST)
returns has been extended to August 14 from July 31,
						Royal Malaysian Customs Department director-general
						Datuk Seri Khazali Ahmad  said.

In a statement today, he said the department would make
assessment of the tax payable under Section 43 of the
GST Act 2014 if companies registered for the GST failed
to submit their returns by the due date.

There will be no further extensions of the date to file
the returns, he said, adding the GST taxable period was
						calculated on a monthly basis.
The deadline for submission of the GST returns for the
three-month taxable period from April 1 to June 30 was
previously slated for July 31. – Bernama, July 29, 2015.
